I think we should take this quote as that second chance and as a wake up call. The empowering question from Mike Brescia today helps this quote along:

What must I do to increase my determination and improve?

Why is it that so many of us seem to need some type of kick-in-the-pants from the Universe to get us going? I’m just as guilty of this as the next person, maybe more so.

I don’t know why we need that wake up call but, since we are trying to improve ourselves, how about we use this quote and question for our own personal wake up call.

I get a second chance at life every day when I wake up. So what do I need to do to seize the day and improve my life, my situation, my relationships, my health, my career, my whatever? And how do I increase my determination to improve these?

Personally I write down, every morning of every week day, my highest priorities in life or my life’s goals. I also write down my goals for this year, the projects I am working on this week and the things I will do today to get me closer to my goals. I also journal in my book and post a journal entry here every week day in an effort to really think about my personal development. I take action every day toward my own self improvement to meet my life’s goals.
