This is a good time of year to take this and other similar inspirational quotes to heart and think of all those things I’ve thought about doing and learning.  By making this list, I can see which ones are out of my comfort zone and are something I have not mastered.

While I am a believer in taking small steps or breaking things down into chunks to reach a goal, I want the ultimate goal to be something that helps me grow.  Think of all I might have to learn and the strange new ways of doing things I have to do in order to reach something I have not mastered.

I will be more, I will have grown, after reaching the goal than I was before by virtue of my new experiences and the new distinctions I can make.  In my heart, I know this beats being in the same old rut of watching TV every night and working some job every day.
