I was worthless, until I decided to be worth more.
Kim Jeffery
This is a lot like the quote which I paraphrase here: Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right. If I think I am worth less, then I treat myself that way. Others treat me that way as well.
I guess it doesn’t matter how we came to that opinion. Once we are adults, it’s up to us to decide to be worth more. So I want to be worth more, both in my own eyes and in the eyes of the world. Now what do I do?
Going back to the above quote, I think I would need to move beyond “wanting” and decide I will be worth more. I also think all this is in the same vein as deciding I am worthy of success, instead of letting fear hold me back. Be it fear of failure in striving for success or fear of what happens when I do succeed.
When I make this decision, I will need to act as a worth more type of person. How do I think a worth more person acts? Whatever it is, I need to start acting that way. I probably would want to write down the way I think a worth more person acts. I might even want to affirm to myself that, “I am a worth more person.” So make the decision and then act the way a worth more person acts.
