This inspirational quote is very good advice seeing as things change as you proceed with a plan.  No sense waiting till everything is perfect.  It rarely is and plans have to be adjustable to meet changing circumstances.

Maybe the person you planned to have help you ends up moving and is not available.  Maybe something else.  The idea is to create the plan and begin doing something right away.

I also think part of the idea behind this quote is to just get you into motion.  If I just sit here and keep planning, nothing really gets done.  It’s taking action that accomplishes goals.

Yes, plans are important to accomplishing those goals but all the plans in the world won’t do one thing to help you reach your goal till you finally put a step of that plan into action.

I guess the part with “whether you’re ready or not” also applies to your own training and experience.  Maybe Hill felt that you will get those as you take action.
