Individuals who are positive in their thoughts always tend to look upon the brighter side of life. With their faces turned toward the sunshine, they attempt to see the good, even in the bad. Such individuals habitually think thoughts of a positive nature and they are a blessing to the world. They are in a Positive Vibration, and therefore attract other positive personalities to them.
Bob Proctor
Here’s another inspirational quote that reinforces the idea that being happy or being positive is a habit.
People who are positive always (or most of the time) look for the good even in what can be considered bad. It’s a habit they have learned or created. It means those of us who see the bad are just in the habit of seeing the bad first.
This is, of course, emphasized by our society and the media. It takes a discipline, focused individual to see the positive habitually when so much emphasis is put upon the bad.
But again, I really like the idea that it is a habit. If it is a habit, then I can learn this habit.
For me, I think one way to create the positive habit is to lengthen that space between stimulus and response so I can choose my response rather than react habitually in my old way. Taking an additional second or two to respond will help create and establish the positiveness habit by giving me time to remember what I want to do - create the positiveness habit.
If the idea in this quote holds true, once I start habitually seeing the positive, then I will start attracting other positive people and things into my life. So no time like the present to start.
