Many times in life we are at a fork in the road. We must choose which way to go. Once chosen, you can’t go back and re-do the decision you made.

One could even say we face such decisions every day. Do we come home from work or school and plop down in front of the TV? Or do we use that time to learn more, start and work on a business, or go to the gym? Whatever choice we make determines the results we get and that determines the type of life we have. It’s the law of cause and effect.

Do I want the same life everyone else leads? Or do I want to make choices and take action that will make all the difference? Dyer says, “The road most traveled by is one that will allow you to fit in, to feel accepted, even to become enculturated. But it will never allow you to make a difference.”

I want to make a difference and I want a life that is not ordinary, not common. I will be who I am and stop trying to be someone else, someone like everyone else. I am different and I will embrace my difference even if it is not the norm. I’ve been told my whole life that I don’t think like others. It’s time to accept it and live it fully.
