The best preparation for good work tomorrow is good work today.
Elbert Hubbard
Unless you have a genie in an oil lamp, you are going to have to work for what you want. By this, what I really mean is, we have to take action.
We can’t sit around wishing we were the CEO of some big company when we can’t even do the work of a CEO. You have to prepare. And you prepare by taking action to learn all the functions of what you want to do or be.
If I can’t even maintain a budget on the money I make now and am heavily in debt, how could I run a company without causing it to falter or fail.
I must prepare now by learning to handle what I have now and doing my best to learn and to do what I need for the future work. Some of that preparation will be planning and some will be actual physical work. Each thing I learn and do will build upon the last so I can work my way to the future I want.
Now when you read the first line I wrote above, you might have said “…or win the lottery.” It’s almost cliche that lottery winners lose all they won and more. Why? Because they are not prepared to handle the influx of money just as they couldn’t handle well the money they were already getting from their job. The lottery just allowed them to get deeper in debt and trouble.
So follow our inspirational quote above and prepare for tomorrow by working and taking action today toward that future you want.
