I have to disagree somewhat.  I do experience regret over the things I’ve done.  I used to run and rerun over and over the incident where I did something I considered wrong or that turned out I did wrong.  I have to practice a lot saying “STOP!” to myself even now to keep those reruns from running.

I have to still remind myself to treat me kindly and ease up on the guilt and to stay in the present as there is nothing I can do about what is done.  It’s done.  It’s over with.  Let it go and stop thinking about it.

But I do agree that the things you haven’t done can also torment you if you don’t learn to let them go as well.  Yes, I could have made that choice instead of the one I made.  But I didn’t so let it go.  That choice too is in the past and I can do nothing about it.

I think that the rest of the message can be summed up with “Carpe Diem!”  Maybe we shouldn’t be so concerned about the safe path, our comfort zone, any more.  We should take some risk and do it!  Otherwise, we may always wonder, “What if…”

Every moment is to be enjoyed the best you can.  Or maybe it’s every moment should be savored even when you are doing things you don’t particularly like but that will get you closer to your goals.

Just don’t lose the moments in mind numbing activity that achieves no good goal.  Don’t use your moments taking action (or even taking no action) in a manner that takes you further from what you desire than closer to it.  Once done each moment is gone never to return again.
