Someday, after we have mastered
the winds, the waves, the tide
and gravity, we shall harness for God
the energies of love.
Then, for the second time in the history
of the world, man will have discovered fire.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
Although I think Dyer needed to do a little checking on his science before writing this essay, he does raise some very good points. One has to do with reaching the tipping point which he calls the phase transition, where every particle will reach a new alignment. Essentially he feels when humanity reaches this tipping point, then a new age or alignment will begin because, as de Chardin says elsewhere, “Love is the affinity which links and draws together the elements of the world…”
I do love how de Chardin assumes in faith that it’s a given that mankind will harness wind, waves, tide and gravity energy for our use. We are on our way to harnessing all these forms of energy now. Large wind farms have been established east of us and I wish we could put them on our place.
Some believe the energy in love is the highest form of energy. I sure know it’s the one form that makes us feel the best. Love brings joy into your life and does all kind of wonderful things for your body.
When man harnessed fire (wild land fires not withstanding), our whole world changed. We had heat and light available to us. No longer did we have to crawl into some hideaway when it got dark. The hours available to us in a day when we could do things increased.
Fire changed our whole world. Just think what this world, this Universe, could be with the energy of love harnessed. It really would be the second time man discovered fire.
