In some ways, this inspirational quote is a change of pace from the type of quotes that have been coming up.  At first glance, I think most people agree Penn is talking about being kind and doing good for others in the world.  That is one of the major points and it sure won’t hurt our world at all for any of us to do good and show kindness to our fellow creatures.

I also think another major point is to take action now.  We don’t know if this opportunity will ever present itself again that we may have right now.  We change and circumstances change.  Opportunities come and go.

So whatever positive action presents itself, whether it is to be kind to or show good to some fellow creature or to our own benefit, we should take action on it now.  Now is all we truly have and we should live fully in the now taking whatever action is most appropriate now.  We will not pass this way again.
