Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.
Albert Einstein
I prefer to think that imagination precedes knowledge. Before you can have knowledge about something, you have to conceive of it. That’s where imagination comes in. So, in that respect, it is more important.
I dare say that most of man’s advances have been made because someone(s) dared to imagine things could be different, then took action to ensure it would happen. From those actions, successful and failed, knowledge was gained to further the way to what was first imagined.
Sometimes that knowledge would change what was imagined. A new image was created. Isn’t that what imagination does? Create an image?
It’s by creating images that we seek to change our lives in so many ways. But the image is there first. Or at least an image based on our beliefs.
So maybe beliefs come first. Do we have a belief that all is possible and that things can change? Or do we believe nothing ever really changes, even if how fast and easily we can do the same old thing does?
Perhaps our beliefs are more important than imagination. Could be it’s our beliefs we really need to work on at the core of us. What do you think?
