What this inspirational quote means to me is that for anything to be done, it must first become possible in the mind.  We have to dream that it is or can be a reality.  We must also plan in our minds the steps to making that dream a reality.

To do any of this we must first create the dream, a fantasy if you will, of what it is we want.  We live it first in our minds.  This goes for any changes we want in our lives.  Whether it’s a change of home, job, weight, relationship or whatever, we create a fantaasy in our minds where we live that change to see if it is really what we want.

Sometimes, fantasies are the beginning of the process for bringing a new future to us.  Other times, however, fantasies are really just an escape.  It can be an escape from hardship or boredom, but it is an escape nonetheless.

I guess we have to be careful which kind of fantasy we dream, although a little escapism now and then isn’t bad.  As long as we don’t do it to excess and continue to live with whatever we are trying to escape.  That’s when you need to be dreaming about changes you can really make to change your circumstances.
