We are each a miracle. Our bodies are miracles even with every flaw, imperfection or supposed handicap. We are grateful for these vehicles which carry our spirits through this life.

Perhaps this is the way to look at our physical bodies rather than complaining of how we look or what little we can do or how our bodies change as we go through life. Maybe we didn’t get the sexy Ferrari but that Pacer makes the journey just as well.

There are severals ways or metaphors we can use for speaking of our bodies. But regardless of whether we each consider our own body a temple, vehicle, garage or other, it is carrying the real us through this adventure in time and space.

Perhaps instead of abusing it, we should be taking care of it as best we can. Perhaps instead of finding fault, or considering any “particle of an inch” as vile, we should practice being grateful.
