Doubts are more cruel than the worst of truths.
Moliere
Doubts could very well be our worst enemy. If you doubt you can be a success, then where do you summon courage from? Doubt won’t let you do it.
If you doubt, how can you ever change anything in your world? Doubt will doubt you can make the change. Perhaps then, one of the most important things to do when you approach self improvement, is to develop an unwavering belief in yourself.
With belief in yourself, whenever you make a mistake or things don’t seem to work out right, you simply treat it as a “delay instead of a denial.” That last insight was from Mike Brescia’s book Today is Your Day to Win.
His essay on the above quote was more about belief than doubt. “Success and happiness always starts between your own two ears.” And he is right. It is your own belief in yourself that keeps you going till you achieve your goal.
Likewise, if you doubt, then you will not achieve. It is your beliefs that direct how you will go in life making working on your beliefs the most challenging work in personal development.
