Now this is one quote I’m pretty sure I don’t agree with. First off, most of us have wants, usually whatever we think will make our situation better. Most of us have a long list of all the “stuff” that we want. After all, we are taught to be consumers. But not all change is “ever welcome” nor even truly desired.

You could have change for the worse, especially if you just keep digging that hole you are in. These people are the ones who keep doing the same things over and over to make their situation worse. Usually most people say that they want things better even while their actions don’t agree. So that type of change isn’t welcome even if we are doing, or not doing, all we can to make things worse.

Then there are those of us who want more or better, but we don’t seek out the things, won’t do the things, that will make the change for the better. Maybe those of us like that just aren’t pressed hard enough by our wants.

We may want a better job or a promotion, but we just won’t put in the hours and effort to get that degree or certification that gets the better job. We won’t take on the projects at work or put in the longer hours that get that promotion.

So that again is a change that is not welcome as it would require a change in what we do and how we live. It would require effort and time. As I said before, maybe the wants just aren’t pressing enough.
