Action Makes More Fortune…

February 10th, 2010 · No Comments

Action makes more fortune than caution.

Luc De Clapiers

And here I sit today having a hard time getting into motion.  Again, I have received news that going to change my life.  Not good or bad, just change in a way I had not expected.

I’ll have to adapt a bit and some of the things around me will have to change as a result.  I just feel kind of stuck thinking about the changes.  Maybe just a result of a too active holiday weekend without sufficient time for recovery. (Remember this was originally written in my journal back on 1 December.)

What I do know is that by sitting here doing nothing, I sure am not working on my  websites or writing articles or doing any of the 1001 things I could do toward creating the life I desire, one that won’t be quite so open to such changes happening.

Nor am I studying or listening to courses that could aid my personal growth.  All that takes action.  Movement.

I also know that if I am too cautious about making the changes needed, in my business or studies or whatever, I won’t take the actions needed.  Well, I do have things I can do and this journal is only the first step.

Time to get moving.

(Not quite the post one would expect about taking action being better than sitting back being cautious but this was where I was then and the getting moving was more important to me then.

But you do know we can’t sit around cautiously waiting for everything to be right before doing anything.  It just doesn’t work that way.  While I’m busy waiting for things to be right, someone else takes action and gets the prize.

Instead of “ready, aim, fire” there are those who rightly say it should be “ready, fire, and then correct”.  Just get taking some action.  Just get into some form of motion toward your goal today.)
